On shopping from Paliwal Jewelers, you can be sure that you are getting jewellery which will surpass all your expectations. As every piece of our jewellery comes with a Certificate of authenticity of gold and diamonds used in them thus you can be assured that you will get the pledged quality. This certificate guarantees that your jewellery is manufactured using materials of the promised quality and the craftsmanship is top-notch too.

A diamond jewellery certificate provides assurance that we abide by the specifications stated in the report articulated by an independent and professional gemmological laboratory - IGI(International Gemological Institute) and BIS Hallmark, which Paliwal Jewelers has been cooperating with for many years.

An IGI Certificate clearly discloses the details of any item it accompanies, providing confidence for both buyer and seller.

The value of a precious stone is determined by its gemological makeup, natural rarity and finished quality. Diamonds and gemstones of similar appearance can have important differences in value. Even experts need powerful analytic tools to detect synthetics, treatments and enhancement processes.

With more locations around the globe than any other laboratory, IGI is the world's most trusted name for the expert and impartial grading of diamonds, gemstones and jewelry. Gemstones should only change hands when accompanied by a certificate attesting to quality. Regardless of location or marketplace, an authentic IGI Laboratory Report is the common language of trust and confidence in the gemological world, and should be considered an essential part of any transaction.

BIS hallmark

The BIS hallmark is a system that provides certification of gold as well as silver jewellery that indicates the purity of the metal. This certification authenticates that a piece of gold jewellery purchased, conforms to the standards as laid by the Bureau of Indian Standards which is the national standards organization in India.

This hallmarking of gold jewellery was established in April 2000. The hallmark itself consists of a BIS logo, a 3 digit number that indicates the gold purity, the logo of the assaying center along with the logo or the code of the jeweller and the code that indicates the hallmarking date.

The BIS hallmarking has a high reputation among the jewellery trading industry in India, and is widely accepted by the consumers.

Every piece of diamond jewellery is unique. The certificate will map all the recognizable characteristics and describe the individual ones unambiguously. Each certificate will include the diamond colour, clarity and carat weight as well as cut shape information. It also includes gross weight of the jewellery.

Summary No.

                     Unique number representing your jewellery.

Identification of jewellery type with gross weight defining total number of stones used in it

Identification of actual shape and cut of the precious stones used.

Diamond Weight [Cts]

Diamonds are weighed to the thousandth of a carat with a digital measuring device. In the grading report, weight is rounded to the hundredth of a carat.

Min. Color

Color ranges on the scale from the best grade of D down to Z. Moreover, there are also fancy colored diamonds which do not apply to the color scale. Color grade is determined by examining the diamond under special lighting next to a master set of co lour comparison stones.

Min. Clarity

Clarity is a reflection of the number, size, placement and nature of inclusions and/or surface irregularities on the diamond. An experienced diamond grader examines the diamond with the aid of a stereo microscope which aims in identifying the nature of an inclusion.

Comments are used to describe characteristics not discussed elsewhere on the certificate.
